We do the job properly—the way things used to be done; we burn off all the old paint, wash down surfaces properly with warm water and sugar soap and rinse. Then we fill any holes, repair cracks and rub all surfaces down until smooth. Often we will remove all of the paint and start again, revealing the full beauty of mouldings and profiles.

After this extensive preparation we apply four coars of Sikkens Paint. The decorators have all been with me for around 10 and some for as long as 16 years, my men are probably amongst the best decorators in the country.
