Each year we return and, for a small charge, wash down surfaces and touch in any damage or decay. The normal maintenance after 6 years is to wash down all surfaces, touch in any bare areas and apply one further coat of Sikkens Rubbol A-Z Gloss. The maintenance period will be influenced by location, elevation, the quality of the wood, design, construction, glazing, etc.
We guarantee the paint for five years. This guarantee does not cover any decay caused by water penetration to the substrate. After repainting the paintwork will last a further 5-6 years at which point a further application of Sikkens paints will be equired. Note: All defective or rotten timber must be replaced prior to this contract Also all windows should be overhauled, broken cords replaced etc.
