My men have been accepted as friends by many families and are welcomed back to their homes.
Duncan J MacLean

Good Old fashioned paintwork means doing the job properly, the way things used to be done. Burning off all the old paint. Washing down properly with warm water and sugar soap. Rinsing off with clean water. Filling holes, repairing cracks and rubbing all surfaces down until smooth. Often we will remove all the paint and start again revealing the full beauty of mouldings and profiles. Applying four coats of Sikkens Paint. 100 years ago the usual specification called for 6 coats of paint. The decorators I employ have all been with me for 10 and some for as long as 16 years. These men are probably among he best decorators in the country. We stay on each job until it is finished, with the same men. We keep your house secure, we will even feed the cat or keep the dog in or out. Where possible you will see the same faces each year you have us back. We have been decorating houses in London for over 22 years. Many of these houses are maintained under the Duncan MacLean/Sikkens 25 year maintenance scheme. The example below shows our process

As part of our thorough exterior painting preperation we burn off all of the old paint, and repair any open cracks and joints.

Next we cover the surface in two coats of Sikkens primer.

Then last but certainly not least we use our vast knowledge and experience to give all surfaces the perfect finish.
